Um..... WHAT???

I am speechless. Yeah, enjoy it. If you've learned anything about me through the course of this blog then you will know that I generally have something to say. This is a rarity. SPEECHLESS. I have been meaning to write a thank you to everyone who has helped since I put up my plea post . So many people genuinely stepped up and have continued to step up to help with all sorts of things! It has been a true blessing. What I realized today has spurred me on to write this thank you. I'm not sure who you are (and I'm really hoping it's not a big fat mistake) but you know who you are. Oh, yes you do. THANK YOU. We are stunned. And absolutely, completely speechless. Except for these 100 words or so. We really pray that God blesses you big time.  Humbled, grateful, surprised, blessed....... And to everyone who has helped watch the kids, clean a room, brought us food - a ready made meal or groceries-, sent cards, however you have reached out I want you to know that you

I heard it through the grapevine...

...how much longer will [they] by mine? Unofficially, I heard yesterday that we are in danger of losing some of our nursing hours. Now, as of yet, my case manager and her supervisor have heard nothing of it, but the nursing company caught wind of something or other. Whether or not any of it (and who even knows what 'it' really is) is true or not I can't be certain. But I can say that it most likely is. That's usually the way these things go. I am led to a few conclusions: 1) It will probably be our hard earned 21 global hours per week they would take, which would leave us with only night time nursing.  2) It's most likely because we have not been able to use those hours, not because we don't need them but because the agency has not been able to fulfill them. 3) If this is the case, I'm hoping it works in our favor that we have contacted several other agencies in the past few months to try and get our hours filled. 4) Once you lose hours

Almost.

We took advantage of the almost nice weather this week and threw stuff out windows. Who doesn't enjoy that?? Homemade parachute men and paper airplanes that almost flew.  Sunglasses for the almost sunshine. Emma almost sure she wants to take a picture with me. And even the dog who almost jumped out the window. For a few more pictures you can tap your way over to The Fam tab and enjoy. HAPPY SATURDAY, ONE AND ALL!

Winter catch up.

This winter has been slow on the picture taking. Or at least the whole processing and putting up part. So, without much further ado here are some favorite winter moments in 10 pictures or less: The blue bird pictures were taken by Benjamin. I must admit that I can not remember ever before seeing a bluebird. But now I feel like I must get a bluebird house because those birds are A-DORABLE.

Benefits??

Let me tell you the benefits of having a husband who works shift work. There are none. NO SUCH THING. *The fact that we had no nurse last night and I can barely keep my eyes open may be affecting my view here just a touch. Maybe I'm being a bit more cynical than I usually would be. Maybe not. Our nurse, unfortunately had car trouble and couldn't make it. Not her fault, it just figures. I forgot what it was like to have to stay up. It's been several months since we've encountered that problem (THANKFULLY) and maybe I've gotten a bit.... pampered... maybe. And quite honestly it is much simpler taking care of Theodore throughout the night now than it ever has been before. And if he hadn't woken up at 5:45am I would probably be singing a different tune.  But he didn't. So I'm not. And for those of you weirdos who are usually up at 5:45 I ask you this: Why? WHY??? I understand that there aren't enough hours in the day to get everything don
